Tour Seattle Pacific University, and have a clinic there. Then continue in to tulip country where field after field of beautiful flowers can be seen. You’ll love the small-town charm of Mt. Vernon and LaConner, where students are the stars in a parade, and on-stage.

7:00am Board deluxe motor coaches and travel to the emerald city of Seattle.

11:00-1:00pm Admission is included to Experience Music Project (EMP) a cultural institution designed to explore the creative process. Learn about musical culture and history, technology, and the craft of making music, plus the business of the music industry.

2:00-3:30pm A music clinic is scheduled at Seattle Pacific University. Afterward head for Mt. Vernon and enter tulip country where fields of magnificent blooming tulips can be seen. Check-in to the Best Western Cottontree Inn for a two-night stay.

Saturday April 12, 2008

Wake to a full breakfast buffet at your hotel. Its a short drive to quaint LaConner.

12:30pm Check-in for the parade at State & 4th Street.

1:30pm Parade staging and judging

2:00pm Parade through downtown LaConner. Afterward enjoy the festivities of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival including on-stage entertainment.

Evening Back at the hotel there may be an opportunity to swim in the indoor pool at the health club located next door.

Wake to included breakfast buffet at your hotel.

11:00am March in and then play at the Fairgrounds in LaConner. Over 3000 visitors, and over 150 vendors are expected for this fun annual event.

2:00pm Begin the trip home, and arrive back in Portland approximately 7:00pm
